North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade 2014

The Davidson Fire Department and Cornelius-Lemley Volunteer Fire Department proudly present the 32nd Annual North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade.

The time is drawing near for what promises to be one of the largest events to take place in the North Mecklenburg area, and we are glad you will be joining us for one of our longest-running traditions. We value your participation, and look forward to working with you again this year.

If no payment is required, the form may be scanned and emailed to .

• Entry forms submitted without payment will not be accepted
• All vehicles and floats must be decorated in a Christmas theme.
• All entrants will be notified by e-mail of your parade position on or before November 24.
• No entrant is permitted to have Santa or Mrs. Claus, or any resemblance of, as part of your float theme, group or organization. No exceptions, please.
• Due to the safety of others, OBJECTS MAY NOT BE THROWN INTO THE CROWD. Giveaways may be distributed person to person on sidewalks (Absolutely no candy).
• NOT ALLOWED: Go-carts, skate boards, motor vehicles without NC license plate, motorcycles or mopeds.
• Soliciting during the event is prohibited.
• Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
• The parade committee reserves the right to prohibit costumes, banners, flags, signs, logos or any other props or materials it deems inappropriate.
• All walking units, including bands/unicyclist/dance troop/etc., MUST continue moving forward during the parade. Stopping to perform is not permitted.
• All horse riders must file an individual application. There may only be one rider per horse and no more than three abreast. All horses must have a Coggins Test Certificate available.
• Only participants/groups who have been issued a parade number may participate. PLEASE make sure your group’s line-up number is visible to parade coordinators via a sign or banner. Cars should post their line-up number visibly in the right corner of windshield. Group Coordinators, PLEASE, distribute your line-up numbers and map to all your participants prior to parade day.
• Vendors must be permitted by the Town of Cornelius and/or the Town of Davidson and may not set up in the roadway.
• If you wish to participate, a completed entry form and signed waiver of liability must be submitted, along with entry fee, by October 31.

Senior High School Bands, Police & Fire Depts. 0
Horse, Antique Car, Tractor & Non-profit $30
(Non-profits are required to submit a copy of 501c3 status)
