A summer family favorite, Concerts on the Green are the first and third Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the Village Green in front of the Public Library at the intersection of Main Street and Concord Road.

Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family, comfy chairs, a blanket or a picnic and to come early to find seats. You can also make it a date night in Davidson by visiting some of our local restaurants and retail establishments, then strolling on over to the Village Green and enjoying some great music under the stars.  

Concerts on the Green is a free annual concert series. This event is free to the public and open to all ages. The first concert for the 2011 season will be held on Sunday, May 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature the Davidson College Symphony & Jazz Ensemble.

Concert Details

• Concerts on the Green take place the first and third Sundays every month May through September
• Concert hours are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Concerts take place on the Village Green in Downtown Davidson at the corner of Main Street and Concord Road in front of the beautiful Davidson Public Library.
• All concerts are free, family-oriented and open to all ages
• All concerts are “rain or shine”
• Food and beverages are available for purchase by an array of fantastic local vendors at each concert.  In addition, attendees also have their choice of some fantastic Davidson restaurants.
• Coolers and picnics are welcome

Tents
10’ x 10’ tents are welcome but must be set up on the perimeter of the event area. We ask that you are respectful of this rule so you do not block the view of the entertainment by other attendees. Please keep your tents within the 10’ x 10’ size. 

Parking
Free public parking is available all around the event site. However, please pay attention to signs posted prohibiting parking. 

Handicap event parking is available on Main Street, Concord Road and in the Davidson Library Parking lot off Concord Road.
