If they cannot, they will call for a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Control Officer from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control (CMAC&C). CMAC&C is available seven days a week, with business hours and emergency hours.

If your car has been towed and impounded due to no registration or other legal issue, you will need to prove current registration and bring a licensed driver to get your car out of impound. Each wrecker service has its own fee schedule for towing and daily storage. Call ahead to the wrecker service to confirm the amount of your charges and what form of payment they will and will not accept.
