April is for Arts Month
Check out the month of April on the Davidson Community Calendar for the Gallery Crawl and Art on the Green juried art show, highlighting some of the area’s best artists.
Davidson College Belk Visual Arts Galleries
The Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center is home to the Van Every/Smith Galleries which showcase student and faculty art and houses a permanent collection, including Rodin’s sculpture Jean d-Aire.
Davidson College Sculpture Garden
Visit the grassy, shaded oval of Richardson Plaza in front of the E.H. Little Library to the college’s outdoor sculpture collection, an extension of the college’s permanent art collection at the Belk Visual Arts Center.
Davidson Town Hall Rotunda
Visit the Town Hall Rotunda for a variety of exhibits year-round. Our Rotunda Curator creates exhibits to highlight local and regional talent including photography, watercolors, oil paintings, and more.
The Gallery at the Business Center @ South Main
This unique gallery is housed within the Business Center @ South Main. It is open to the public. Visitors may stroll through the office building to see local and regional artists’ works displayed.
“A Bouquet for Davidson,” by Andy Dunhill, is located in the green space between Main Street and the Post Office.
“Grace”, by local artist Philip Williams, an 8-foot tall steel angel
designed to stand watch over Highway 115, is located at South Main Square.
Our Book Garden is located along Main Street between the Davidson Public Library and CVS. It was designed by J’Nell Bryson and sculptures were created by Artist Lydia Musco.
"Dance of Life" by Sculptor Douwe Blumberg is adjacent to Davidson Town Hall. The space was designed by Landscape Architect J'Nell Bryson.
Wooden Stone Gallery
This gallery features arts and crafts from artists all over the U.S. and Canada, with a primary focus on North Carolina.
Concerts on the Green
From May until September, come to the green for a live concert. Gather your family and friends for a picnic while listening to some of the region’s best music.
